She is a member of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (Philippine Independent Church) and has actively served the ecumenical movement in various capacities, locally and internationally, since her youth. 
She is a member of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches as well as the Justice, International Affairs and Development Committee of Christian Conference of Asia.
She sits on the Commission on Ecumenical Relations and International Affairs of the Philippine Independent Church (PIC).
