We are very happy to welcome Arman Nozar Taieb to the Karibu team as our new Advisor.

Arman started at Karibu on the 6th of September, and instead of spending his first days at the office in Oslo, he joined Karibu’s Core Group meeting in Kenya. There, he met partners from across the African continent and got a direct introduction to Karibu’s Africa Grant and participatory grantmaking in practice.

Arman joins Karibu with experience in project coordination, project development, international cooperation, and communication. At Karibu, a large part of his work will focus on strengthening the foundation’s visibility and developing our communication strategy.

He will work on finding better ways to communicate what Karibu and, especially, our partners do, how they work, and why. A particular focus will be Karibu’s approach to participatory grantmaking and how funding decisions can be shaped by the people and movements the funding is intended to support.

I hope we can create more space for their voices, experiences and stories to be seen and heard, both in Norway and internationally.”
