During the General Debate of the 52nd Session of the UN Human Rights Council held this week in Geneva, the National Council of Churches in the Philippines expressed its deep concern over continuing human rights violations in the Philippines.

The World Council of Churches has published an article that features Karibu partner Mervin Toquero (NCCP) about their efforts at the UN Human Rights Council, the need to enact a Human Rights Defenders Bill in the Philippines, and the need to repeal the Anti-Terrorism Act as it endangers human rights defenders.
